PulseVet Shock Wave Therapy

PulseVet Shock Wave Therapy at VESH West Springfield

At VESH, we are committed to offering exceptional treatments backed by the latest medical research and technologies.

Animals, like people, can suffer from stress fractures, arthritis, muscle overuse, strains, spasms, and other issues. Our state-of-the-art shock wave therapy device offers a non-invasive solution for these conditions.

The PulseVet’s Shock Wave device, with more than a decade of research and clinical success, utilizes an electrohydraulic source to create the most effective shock waves for medical purposes.

What is shockwave therapy?

Shock wave technology is a noninvasive, high-energy sound wave treatment commonly used in human and veterinary medicine. It helps the body in relieving pain, speeding healing, and improving the quality of healing. Unlike the name implies, shock wave therapy does not involve electro-shock therapy. Instead it uses soundwaves, which are high velocity (speed) high pressure, and won’t generate heat, to result in the desired response.

PulseVet’s Shock Wave systems have been proven effective for treating such conditions as:

  • Tendon and ligament injuries

  • Bone fractures (stress fractures/splints)

  • OA/Joint inflammation and pain

  • Foot Injuries

  • Wounds/Lick Granulomas

  • Back pain

What to expect from PulseVet Shock Wave therapy

The high-energy sound waves stimulate cells and release healing growth factors in the body that reduce inflammation and swelling, increase blood flow, help bones form and heal, and enhance wound healing.

An average treatment is relatively fast and easy, typically less than five minutes. Only 1-3 treatments are needed for optimal results. Sessions are spaced 2-3 weeks apart and no sedation is necessary!
