Dr. Emily Lowe studied Pre-Veterinary Sciences as an undergraduate student at UMass Amherst. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Lowe grew up in Eastern MA and spent time in Illinois for veterinary school. Since returning to MA, she has lived in the western part of the state closer to VESH. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Lowe worked as a technician during her school breaks. She has now worked as an emergency veterinarian at VESH for three years. 

Outside of work, Dr. Lowe enjoys spending time with her dog and friends. She is both a YouTube and video game fan as well. Dr. Lowe enjoys her close proximity to New York City and especially enjoys the easier access to Broadway shows. “Dr. Lila Nugget” is her rescue chihuahua mix and heart dog. She taught Dr. Lowe a lot about dog reactivity and patience as she helped Lila progress from not allowing physical touch to now being the clingiest Velcro dog who is able to make some acquaintances!
