Dr. Rebecca Malakoff is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist and founder of Green Mountain Veterinary Cardiology. A Massachusetts native, she completed her undergraduate degree at Smith College and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. Dr. Malakoff completed both a rotating small animal internship and cardiology residency at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, followed by over 15 years as a staff cardiologist for the MSPCA at both the Angell-AMC Boston and Waltham locations. After working as a mobile cardiologist in the Boston area for 2 years, her family relocated to southern Vermont. Dr. Malakoff is excited to bring her expertise to the VESH team and to serve the greater Western Massachusetts area.

As a Fear Free certified clinician, Dr. Malakoff strives to make all testing as minimally stressful as possible for her patients. She enjoys optimizing medical management of cardiac diseases and finding pragmatic solutions to improve the quality of life of both her patients and clients.
