Dr. Alyssa Tournaud earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut before completing her veterinary doctorate at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating Cum Laude. Originally from Ellington, CT, Dr. Tournaud brings a diverse background to her veterinary career. She spent four years as a Veterinary Technician in Cromwell, CT, followed by a role as an Anatomy Technologist in Hartford, CT, where she played a key role in training ER doctors and emergency personnel on critical emergency procedures.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Tournaud enjoys relaxing with a good book or movie alongside her two beloved terrier mixes, Cora and Dallas. She likes spending summer days at the beach and playing golf, and she skis in the winter. Her favorite travel destination is Hawaii.
