Gina Olmsted
Dr. Gina Olmsted earned her Bachelor of Science from Stony Brook University. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Olmsted then completed a small animal medical and surgical internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists. After completing her internship she was employed as an associate veterinarian at a busy practice on Long Island.
Dr. Olmsted then went on to pursue a medical oncology residency at the Veterinary Cancer Center in Connecticut. She completed her medical oncology residency in 2013 and received board certification from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialty of oncology.
Dr. Olmsted started and ran the oncology service at a busy referral specialty hospital in Connecticut for 11 years prior to joining the team at VESH.
She values open client communication, the power of the human-animal bond, and compassionate patient care with the goal of giving every patient improved quality of life and the ability to make more memories with their families.
